Pamper time!

Hey guys!

So I recently received the L'Oreal Pure Sugars Smooth & Glow Scrub as well as the L'Oreal Elvive Damage Erasing Balm. So I figured why not share my thoughts on both of these products. Also these are AWESOME items to have during days where you need to be pampered, but can't really leave the house. So I'm going to first start off with the Pure Sugar Scrub. Now when receiving the product from Influenster you could either receive the Pure Sugar Scrub Purify & Unclog or the one I received which is the Pure Sugar Scrub Smooth & Glow.

When first opening this product I was really excited because it comes in a decent size container, which is perfect because you won't run out of it fast. I also noticed the smell I know a lot of people on reviews have been saying that they don't like the smell, but honestly it's not horrible. Hmm if I could describe how it smells I would say it smells like Pure Brown Sugar and I don't know about you but who doesn't love the smell of brown sugar. It reminds me of the Maui Babe browning lotion, if you haven't heard of that stuff you need to go buy some for summer!

Anyways lets continue with the review, so when I took some out of the container to apply to my face I noticed how gritty it was. Now I'm not a HUGE fan of gritty face products simply because my face is sensitive. Now I made sure to use this product more than once to give my honest review on it. So I really liked the product, but I will admit it was very harsh on my skin simply because of the grittiness of the brown sugar. So I probably wouldn't recommend this to people who have super sensitive skin because when you have to massage it in it tends to hurt a little bit. Now the plus side of this product was that once I was done using it my face was super smooth and didn't feel dry at all. I'm not sure if I noticed the glow factor, but Mark kept saying that my face did look good.

Now like I said earlier in my review there is another Pure Sugar Scrub which I heard isn't as gritty as the one I received. So I think once I'm out of my smooth and glow one I will go purchase the other one. So would I recommend this to my friends and family, YES I would, but I would also tell them if they have sensitive skin that it might be too harsh for them because of the grittiness. I give this product 4/5 stars, also I applied links to the names of the products so it will send you right to the page to purchase it!

Okay moving right along on this review now I'm going to share with you my experience of the L'Oreal Elvive Damage Erasing Balm. I love hair masks being a Hair Stylist I tell all my clients that do have damaged hair that masks are a really good way of giving your hair the hydration and love that it needs. So when Influenster sent me this to try out I was really excited!

So when I opened the box I was surprised as well with how big the container was. Now once I tried it during my shower that thought completely changed. Simply because I use A LOT of product and I don't know if it's just me, but I want my hair to be completely covered in the product so I know that it is definitely working. So with that being said I have used this product 4 times already and I think I have one more time left. Now this product will probably last longer with someone who has shorter hair or doesn't use as much product as I do.

So moving on to how I felt about the product once I started using it, now once I applied it to my hair I waited for maybe 5 minutes until I decided to rinse it out. Now also remember you do this product after you shampoo your hair. So once rinsing it out I noticed that my hair was softer than it was before. So here comes my review on if I think it made a difference in my hair, honestly I'm not 100% sure I mean my hair still is damaged, but maybe not as bad as before so would I use this product again? Hmm maybe just to try it for a second round to see if this is something I would constantly purchase. I also believe that with this mask you will have to purchase it a couple times until you can decide if it's working for your hair.

But all in all if you want products to pamper you, these products are perfect. They aren't super expensive and you get your moneys worth. I received these products for free in return for my review.

Love Always Meg!!!

  1. Thanks for your reviews! Now I have what might be considered as a pretty elementary question, so please forgive me. In regards to the hair mask, this is something I have only heard about being a think until pretty recently. What kind of damage are hair masks for, and what are the tell-tale signs that your hair is damaged to the point that a hair mask would be beneficial?

    Thanks for your content!

    1. Hi Jackie thank you for your comment and question. So I use hair masks when my hair feels super dry and not soft. So the why that you can check to see if your hair is damaged is to pick up a strand of hair and run your fingers through it to check if it feels smooth or rough at the end. The other way is the hairbrush test brush your hair and check to see if you have hair coming out from the roots or if you see broken hairs all over your sink. If your hair is breaking off in the middle or on the ends it's likely that you have damage at various points on the strand. The next way is to check if you have split ends if you do thats most likely because you need to trim off all the damage hair. Those are the signs that would make me want to use a hair mask to help with making my hair healthier. Hope that helped!!
